Poitiers ( [pwatje] )는 프랑스 중서부 클레인 강 에 있는 도시입니다 .
그것은 코뮌이자 Vienne 부서 의 수도이자 Poitou 의 역사적 중심지 입니다 . 

2017년 기준 인구는 88,291명입니다. 

2016년 기준 인구는 130,853명이며 인구 261,795명의 도시 지역의 중심입니다.

푸아티에(Poitiers)는 프랑스 중서부 지역 클랭 강에 위치한 도시이다.
비엔주와 푸아투 지역의 주도이기도 하다. 또한 주요 대학 중심지이다.
도시의 중심지는 그림 같은 풍경을 지녔고 거리는 주로 특히 로마네스크 시대의 종교 건축물, 오래된 건물들이 있다.
 이 도시 인근에서 두 주요 전쟁이 벌어지기도 했었다:
732년 카롤루스 마르텔루스이 이끈 프랑크 왕국군이 우마이야 왕조의 진출을 막아낸 푸아티에 전투,
1356년 백년 전쟁 기간 잉글랜드군의 결정적인 승리였던 푸아티에 전투.
후자의 전투 결과는 자크리의 난을 유발했다.
